Ted Thurn serves as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). With more than 25 years of experience in advocacy and over two decades in the association sector, Ted has extensive expertise in shaping and advancing public policy initiatives at both the federal and state levels.

Throughout his career, Ted has led comprehensive legislative advocacy programs and advised senior leaders on emerging policy trends and strategic legislative priorities. At IREM, he oversees key government affairs initiatives and provides strategic counsel and policy recommendations to the organization’s executive leadership.

Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Xavier University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from DePaul University.
